Not My Eyes Inc. is a global disability‑inclusive fashion organization that empowers blind and visually impaired individuals through runway training, confidence building, and international visibility. This audition page outlines the requirements, expectations, and submission process for individuals interested in becoming part of the Not My Eyes modeling roster.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Blind, visually impaired, or low‑vision individuals of any age (18+), size, shape, or background.
  • No prior modeling experience required.
  • Must demonstrate confidence, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to attend rehearsals, fittings, and show‑week activities.

Be Prepared: Audition Attire Requirements

To ensure a consistent and professional audition experience, all participants must arrive in the required attire listed below. This helps our team accurately assess posture, movement, and runway readiness.

For Women

  • Black leggings
  • Black tank top
  • Black bra
  • Black shapewear
  • Black heels
  • Natural face (no heavy makeup; clean, fresh presentation)

For Men

  • Black slacks
  • Black tank top
  • Black dress shoes
  • Black belt
  • Black socks
  • Neat presentation (clean grooming, tidy appearance)

This standardized attire allows our team to focus on your walk, posture, confidence, and presence without distractions. It also ensures fairness and consistency across all audition participants.

Audition Components

1. Personal Introduction Video

Submit a 1–2 minute video including:
  • Your name and location
  • Your visual impairment type (optional)
  • Why you want to model for Not My Eyes
  • What makes you unique as a VIP (Visually Impaired Person)

2. Runway Walk Video

Submit a 20–30 second clip showing:
  • Your natural walk
  • Your posture and stride
  • Your comfort moving independently or with adaptive techniques

Can You

  • Manage personal travel arrangements – You must be able to independently handle your own transportation planning and all travel‑related expenses.
  • Book your own hotel accommodations – Not My Eyes will secure an accessible hotel offering a discounted rate for participants and their families. You must book your room directly with the hotel and cover all lodging costs, following the hotel’s reservation deadlines.
  • Meet designer requirements – You must be able to meet all designer‑specific needs, including required shoes, hosiery, jewelry, foundation garments, and any additional styling elements necessary for show participation.
